One of the things that we Buff Butlers do when we host a hen party is to arrange some party games. Remember when you were a kid and went to a birthday party – there were games? Well, these are nothing like those! Here are four of the most popular ones to consider when planning your hen party.
The cereal box game
Who knew that an empty cereal box could be such a laugh? The idea of this game is simple – you manage the challenge, or you are out. All you need is an upright cereal box in a circle on the floor. Everyone takes a turn at picking it up – with their mouth. You can’t use your hands and you can’t kneel on the floor. Everyone takes a turn at picking it up and anyone who fails it out.
Sounds easy right? But after the first round, we cut an inch off the top of the box meaning it is smaller and nearer to the floor. Around we go again and each time, we keep cutting off an inch until we just have the flat floor of the box left. The winner is the one (or ones) who can still pick it up!
Never have I ever…
This is a great one as a drinking game and some of the comments will get funnier (and more revealing) as the competition goes along. The idea is that you go around in a circle and you have to say something that you have never done. It might be skydiving, getting married or anything else you want to share. And everyone in the circle who HAS done that thing has to take a drink.
The winner can either be the soberest person at the end or the drunkest, depending on how you want to do it!
Toilet paper wedding dress
There’s a lot of talk about wedding dresses in the lead up to the hen party, so this game continues the theme. Only with toilet paper. We split into two teams and you have to work together to make the most impressive dress out of just toilet paper. You can use one of the team members as a model. There’s no real way to decide on what’s best, we just go with our judgement on the day!
Mr & Mrs game
If you are organising the hen party for the bride, then this is a brilliant game that needs a little preparation. You put together a set of question that you ask the groom to be. Then you ask these questions to the bride to be on the night. Every incorrect answer results in either a dare or a drink, depending on how you want to do it. Questions can be things like:
- What’s the most embarrassing thing he would say you have ever done?
- What would he say is your most annoying habit?
- What’s your bra size (and what did he say)?
